Purple Punch Effects

When you first try Purple Punch weed, it hits you between the eyes. You’ll feel an initial intense mental stimulation that will buzz from your temples down through the spine to your limbs, leaving you feeling loose, relaxed, and floaty. THC levels are reasonably high, between 18% and 20%, and CBD is up to 1%. As a result, the sedating effect is very noticeable, and new users can easily fall asleep if they take an extra hit.

This is an excellent strain for weekends on the couch. Euphoria starts gentle and slowly develops, making everything easier and a little funnier. The couchlock is intense, but munchies aren’t.

Like many cannabis strains, Purple punch also has some common side-effects. It can cause a feeling of cottonmouth and dry-eyes.

The best way to avoid this is by consuming plenty of fluid to keep yourself hydrated and use eye-drops.

If you take this strain in a higher dose, then you might experience heavy drowsiness and couch-lock.

The cerebral effects of Purple punch are quite mild and mellow, so feeling anxious or paranoid is very low and should only occur to novice users or again if you smoke or consume it in a large dose.

Purple Punch Fragrance

Purple Punch can send you back to your childhood, with a strong grape Kool-Aid scent. There are also hints of blueberry muffins and candy. It’s overall a sweetie of a dessert strain. The terpene profile is heavy on caryophyllene, which is found in cloves, as well as limonene and pinene.

Purple Punch Flavors

The flavor profile follows the fragrance. A heavily grape flavor predominates, with the tartness of berries and a smooth blueberry muffin finish. Sweetness builds on the exhale.

Purple Punch Adverse reactions

After the regular cottonmouth and dry eyes, the biggest effect of Purple Punch is intense sleepiness. This is only natural, considering the strength of its indica heritage. The simplest way to keep a handle on that is to ease your way into the Purple Punch strain. Restrain yourself despite the delicious flavor, and you’ll figure out how much you can handle without getting overwhelmed.

Purple Punch Medical

  • Great sedative for those dealing with after-work stress or insomnia
  • Appetite-boosting effects suitable for patients suffering from appetite loss or nausea
  • Excellent as a mild analgesic, this strain could easily replace over-the-counter pain medication

Couchlock, tension-reduction, and relaxation are all incredibly helpful for many conditions, and Purple Punch Indica does well with this.  Many users say this strain has helped with their anxiety, depression, or stress. It’s not a focus-heavy strain, which can allow people with OCD or anxious thoughts to let go for a while. It’s also regularly cited as helping people with depression forget their worries for a while.

The high amount of caryophyllene in the terpene profile of this strain leads to anti-inflammatory effects, which can benefit conditions such as chronic pain or arthritis. It also helps with short-term issues such as sprains or sinus headaches.

Finally, the intense sedative effect makes this a great strain for insomniacs. The deep, easy sleep after trying some Purple Punch makes many people’s lives much easier. The strain’s ability to calm racing thoughts helps just as much as the body high.

ThePurple Punch weed strain is a little tricky to grow. It’s just as delicious to caterpillars and mold as it is to people. Understanding how to prevent these pests will save you significant stress. Looking up grow info for pickier plants will help your harvest go off without a hitch.

Buds are generally fluffy with a shockingly bright green appearance. Nugs are usually covered in orange hairs when they’re ready to harvest. Combine that with the purple leaves, and Purple Punch is one pretty lady.

To trigger the coloration that the Purple Punch weed strain is so well-known for, you need to carefully expose it to cooler temperatures. The purple coloration is a result of temperature protection mechanisms in the plant. You need to find the balance between stressing your plants enough via low-stress training to develop the color and keeping them healthy for harvest.

Your plants will remain moderately sized, between 5 and 6 feet, unless you train them to spread wide. They are invariably bushy, thanks to their pure indica genes.

Traits of Purple Punch

Purple Punch is just an extraordinarily lovely cannabis to look at. Its large and extravagantly purple buds are covered with trichomes. Moreover, it has a very strong, sweet aroma, reminiscent of grape soda, baked goods, and pine, and produces a delicious, smooth smoke.

This candy-like smell is pervasive and will linger for hours. Although its effects are great, it’s the visual and aromatic aspects of this marijuana strain that really set it apart.

Purple Punch Flowering Time

Purple Punch has all the benefits of a pure indica strain, including the short flowering time. Look for flowers after 7 to 8 weeks. The exact amount of harvest depends on your growing expertise, but about 6 ounces per square foot is a reasonable goal.

For outdoor grows, Purple Punch needs a warmer climate. Harvests happen towards the end of October. The exact yield depends heavily on grower skill, but it can reach 1000-2000 grams per plant.

I am a huge indica lover and can say this strand should be able to knock anyone out who hasn’t had it before. I used it in a 0.3 disposable pen from my favorite Illinois brand, Natures Grace. For the first use, it put me very close to in bed. After that first time I was a lazy couch potato. Highly sedative and can give your muscles a tingly sensation if you are not an avid user. If you like this strand you will most likely enjoy Blue Dream as well. However, these two strands will most likely dry the heck out of your body so keep the humidifier and lotion handy.
